Training & Health Education

Technical training, in-service programmes and public health education delivered at SPHL Pune.

The State Public Health Laboratory conducts training and health education for technical staff, students and field officers across Maharashtra.

Training Programmes

  • In-service training for the technical staff of all Public Health Laboratories.
  • Training for candidates of the Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health (DPH).
  • Training for Food Safety Officers on food testing.
  • Training for Sanitary Inspectors and Multipurpose Health Workers on water, stool and bleaching powder sampling.
  • Interstate training for technical staff of food laboratories.
  • Guidance to students for projects related to food and water, subject to prior permission.

Health Education

Health education is delivered through demonstration to medical students, college students, catering diploma students and nursing staff.

The laboratory also submits and publishes project reports to the concerned authorities.
